In order to smoothly organize the Angkor Wat International
Half Marathon 2008 the executive committee decides
to issue the following rules and regulation:
Article 1 - Prohibition
3.1 – No any form of wheel-run objects of
transport e.g in-line skates, prams, push cars, shoes
with built-in or attached
rollers are allowed.
3.2 – No dope or any kind of drug is allowed.
Article 2 - Quarrel/Dispute
4.1 – Any disputes arising from the participation
in the Angkor Wat International Half Marathon shall
be settled by the
Angkor Wat International Half Marathon
Organizing Committee .
Article 3 - Stop from Competition
5.1 – A runner will be stopped from competition
when there is a help from second person.
5.2 – Road closure will be lifted after 3 hours. Participants will
then continue on the footpath at their own risk.
5.3 – A runner must retire from the race immediately when there is
health problem.
5.4 – Whilst every reasonable precaution will be taken by the organizer
to ensure that participants' safety but if any
accident happens during the race
the committee will not responsible for any loss.
Article 4 - Cancellation
6.1 – There will be no fee refund when the event is cancelled
for any reason.
6.2 – Once the registration form has been duly processed, there will
be no fee refund for those participants for any
reason.
Article 5 - Registration/Final Confirmation
7.1 – International Half Marathon require to register online
if in abroad.(
http://www.thailandmarathon.org)
7.2 – The applicant before the deadline requires 2 photo of passport
size and sign on application form.
7.3 – Application Deadline: 14 November 2008 for Online Registration / 20 November 2008 for In-Person Registration.
7.4 – No representative for final confirmation.
7.5 – Final Confirmation from 3 - 5 (08:00-18:00) and 6 (8:00-12:00)
December 2008.
7.6 – Application after deadline from 21 November to 6 (12:00) December 2008
will carry late fee of US$5.00.
7.7 – All participants should pick up their race entry packs including
BIB Number, T-shirt, Official guide book
(1) and
ChampionChip
(2).
(1) Official guide books are for international
runner only. (2) Champion chips available for ½ marathon.

Article 6 - Champion Chip
8.1 – All International Half Marathon runners are required
to deposit US$ 10.00 for one Champion C hip.
8.2 – As ChampionChips are rental item, all participants are responsible
to return their chip to the organizers
immediately after the race. A US$ 10.00
penalty applies for the loss of the above-mentioned chip.
Article 7 - Picture/Photo
9.1 – The organizers reserve the right to use any photographs,
motion pictures, recordings, or any other record of this
event for any legitimate purpose,
including commercial advertising.
Article 8 - AIMS
8.1 - The article which
is not existed in this regulation will be followed Association of
International Marathon and Road Races
Article 9 - Award
11.1 – The award will be given to 3 winners in each category.
11.2 – International Half Marathon sanctioned by Association of International
Marathons and Road Races and recorded
by Digital timing system.
11.3 – The other race categories time and count only for 20 runners.
11.4 – The result of the race won't be shown on the date but available
on our official website later.
11.5 – The certificate and diploma will be given to runners who finished
the goal.
Article 10 - Committee
12.1 - The committee reserves the right to change this rules
and regulation in emergency case.
